ABSTRACT: The impact of big data analytics on vocational training effectiveness is transformative, providing data-driven insights to enhance educational outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate how big data analytics improves the effectiveness of vocational training programs, identify the specific areas of improvement facilitated by data analytics, and assess overall student satisfaction with data-enhanced training. A survey design was employed to gather comprehensive data from participants involved in vocational training programs utilizing big data analytics. The sample size included 200 students from various vocational training institutions. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with direct experience in data-analytic-driven training. The case study was conducted at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that big data analytics significantly improved the customization of training programs, enhanced the identification of student learning patterns, and optimized resource allocation. Students reported high levels of satisfaction with the data-enhanced training, noting its relevance and the improved learning outcomes. It was recommended that vocational training institutions integrate big data analytics into their programs and provide continuous professional development for instructors to leverage data insights effectively.
